Welcoming Address

“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.” (Isa. 60:1)

Greetings in the name of Jesus our Lord!

I hope that all participants in this conference will be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit to transform their churches, their countries and the whole world.

We all know that great advances in human history came from a few courageous, creative, and hard-working leaders. Church history is no exception to that. The body of Christ has grown stronger and more faithful to its Lord when Spirit-filled leaders dedicated everything they have to the expansion of the Kingdom of God.

Now the leadership of world Christianity is practically upon the shoulders of Asian church leaders as Asia is inspiring the other parts of the world where churches are sagging from spiritual torpor. All leaders of Asian churches should realize that God gives great visions for Asian churches to achieve not only for Asian churches but also churches in the world. We believe that the Holy Spirit will enable Asian leaders to accomplish this God-given mission as far as they cooperate with the Spirit. So we want to encourage each other as we face this great challenge as well as hope. I pray all participants share how the Holy Spirit is leading their ministries. In doing so, I expect all of us to find something more about the work of the Spirit in the world.

I bless and love all of brothers and sisters who serve the Lord in Asia. I believe God will use us to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ and strengthen us with the power of the Holy Spirit to shine Christ’s light in the world.
